In the past this has been very messy with discarded fishing tackle. My aunt waded in a couple of years ago and captured a poor swan that had eaten fishing tackle. She took him to the animal rescue and he made a good recovery.

Today we didn’t find much rubbish. Just a few discarded wrappers.
