Cuilken is a medium sized sandy beach easily accessible from the road. If you have dogs with you be aware that sheep are roaming freely here and on the beach, so keep them on a lead.

Most of the rubbish on the beach appeared to have washed up. Again, mostly rope and netting. A green tube, a rotted bike wheel and a pair of children’s stand on stilts.

We put most of it in the bin, but left the stilts hanging on a fence next to some beach chalets.
